Joan fell in love with Cantoni on her first visit, and “after purchasing pieces for myself, I was inspired,” she says. “I decided this was where I wanted to be.” An interior design graduate of the Art Institute of Houston, she has spent her lengthy career in the design realm, including launching her own high-end pet accessory company.

The Houston native’s aesthetic blends simple, clean neutrals accented with pops of color in art and accessories—and an abundance of texture. “I love elegant, sophisticated, romantic spaces,” she says, adding that she might pair a Mongolian lamb throw with a metallic sculpture. “I favor anything that shimmers.” But she most enjoys energetically searching for ideal design solutions for her clients, who find her to be genuine, trustworthy and enthusiastic.

“I love introducing clients to ideas they may not have considered before so they can make the best decision for their home,” she says. “My goal is to enable them to truly enjoy and appreciate their own space.” You’ll find her tapping Cantoni’s large range of products to “paint a visual concept for a client,” she says. “Working for such a well-known, resourceful company gives me great joy."
