In the years since the founding of Cantoni, we’ve seen some sensational houses. We’ve featured many on our website, in our advertising and in our eNewsletter. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a residence better suited to Cantoni than Mark Zigner’s breathtaking home in Laguna Beach.
That’s exactly what Mark was thinking when he sought out Cantoni Irvine’s Design Studio on the suggestion of his real estate company, Coast Sotheby’s, who wanted Mark to have his fabulous home properly staged.
Mark agreed that Cantoni was perfect for the house, and, quid pro quo, in his words, “This is the perfect house to showcase Cantoni.”
In the words of Coast Sotheby’s listing, “This refreshing, innovative design raises the bar; this is not your typical modern style home.” Which was Mark’s intent from the outset.
Says Mark, a wholesaler of fine jewelry, “I travel the world in my business, and had seen a house in Buenos Aires that became the inspiration for mine.
“I wanted an airy, elegant, ultra-modern home with a timeless, international feel that used warm, natural materials throughout. I also wanted the design to take advantage of the remarkable location with its panoramic views of Laguna Beach, Catalina Island, the sea and sky.”
